    Name:
    He was a master mariner, shipbuilder, and merchant. He built the ship Triton at Russell's mills, Dartmouth, and after removing to new Bedford entered into business with his brother-in-law, Captain Cornelius Grinnell. Besides their shipping they dealt in corn, flour, provisions, and particularly iron of various kinds. They built several ships, notably the Euphrates.

    William married Abigail WILBOR on 3 Nov 1784. Abigail (daughter of Jonathan WILBOR and Huldah RICKETSON) was born on 10 Mar 1765 in Dartmouth, Bristol County, Massachusetts; died on 28 Jul 1848. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
