    Jack Jester,Sr., 82, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 8, 2015. A Visitation will be from 10:30-11:30 with Funeral services beginning at 11:30 A.M., Friday, March 13, at Stony Point Christian Church, 149 S. 78th St., Kansas City, KS 66112. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the church. Jack was born July 5, 1932 in Kansas City, KS to Jesse T. and Gusta F. Jester. He married Zeilla May Snodgrass on July 19, 1952. Jack graduated from Turner High in 1950 and the Engineering School at Kansas University in 1954. He joined Kansas City Power and Light and worked in various engineering, sales and advertising positions, retiring in 1993. He served in the U.S. Army from 1955-1957 at White Sands Proving Ground, NM. He was active in many Trade and Civic activities. He was Past President of The Electric League of Mo/Kan, Missouri Valley Electric Association, member of the boards of Rehab Institute and Jr. Achievement, School Board member for Stony Point Elementary School and Washington Unified School Board in Wyandotte County. Jack was an active member of the Stony Point Christian Church serving in many capacities, but his first love was music where he led the singing for over 40 years. He loved to travel and play golf and was a member of the senior golf associations at Sunflower Hills and Painted Hills golf courses. He is survived by his wife Zeilla, daughters and sons-in law, Cynthia L. and Robert A. Crum, Debra K. and Mike Forbes, Shawnee, KS, sons and daughters-in law, Jack Jr. and Sallie Jester, Louisburg, KS and J Ted and Teri Jester of Lawrence, KS, 4 grandchildren, Bobbi J. Todd, James M. Forbes and wife Jennifer, Clint Crum and wife Heidi, and Christy Samba and husband Meissa, 10 Great-Grandchildren and sister, Janice Jester RN, Kansas City, KS and many friends and fellow workers.
