LeROY DELBERT GRUBAUGH LeRoy Delbert Grubaugh, 75, was born in Kansas City, KS, on January 3, 1924, and entered into the presence of our Lord on Tuesday, August 10, 1999. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, August 13, at the Porter Funeral Home; burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Kansas City, KS. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the donor's choice.
Delbert retired from Phillips Petroleum Company in 1981 after 32 years as a maintenance supervisor. He was a WWII veteran with the 149th Combat Engineers, landed with the forces on Normandy Beach on D-day, served with Army Reserves for 32 years, and was a member of the VFW. He was also a member of the Antioch Family Worship Center. He is survived by his wife, Deana Grubaugh, of the home; son, Jon Grubaugh, and three daughters, Patti Wolters, Nancy Gilpin, and Terri Panjada, all of Kansas City,KS; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Marida Barber and Faynola Bettles, both of Council Groves, KS.
