Mildred F. Scott, 79, of Browns, died at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2000 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Stasi-Grove Funeral Home in Olney with Rev. Quentin Beard of First Assembly of God officiating. Burial will be in Moravian Cemetery in West Salem. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Scott was born July 21, 1920 in Richland County, the daughter of Leonard and Bertha (Schrader) Bare. She married Wendell Scott October 17, 1936 in Olney. He preceded her in death.

She was a member of First Assembly of God Church where she will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Scott is survived by three sons, Larry Scott of West Salem, Jim Scott of Olney and Bernard (Bud) Scott of Dundas; three daughters, Brenda Scott and Mary Ann Snyder, both of Browns and Diana Stout of Claremont; one brother, Don Bare of Olney; five sisters, Vivian Combs and Maxine Witte, both of Dundas, Pat Ginder of Latham, Sue Harmon of Olney and Betty Swinson of Parkersburg; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother and three sisters.

Mildred married Wendell B. SCOTT on 17 Oct 1936 in Olney, Richland Co., Illinois. Wendell was born on 10 Mar 1917 in West Salem, Edwards Co., Illinois; died on 19 Jun 1999 in Olney, Richland Co., Illinois; was buried in Moravian Cemetery, West Salem, Edwards Co., Illinois. Vivian M. Combs, 92, of Olney, formerly of Dundas, Illinois, passed away Monday, February 9, 2015 at Richland Memorial Hospital Long Term Care in Olney.

Vivian was born May 11, 1922 in Edwards County, Illinois, the daugther of Wilbur Leonard and Bertha Lorene (Schrader) Bare. She was a stay-at-home mom and then worked at the Olney Garment Factory and the Olney Care Center before volunteering at the Salvation Army.

She is survived by her children, Kay (Don) Novak of Georgetown, IN; Dale (Shirley) Combs of Carbondale, IL; Carolyn (Gene) Iffert of Ingraham, IL; Glenn (Cindy) Combs of Marion, OH; and daughter-in-law, Linda Combs of Dundas; 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; Brother, Don Bare of Olney; and sisters, Pat (Jim) Ginder and Faye (Sue) Harmon of Olney.

She was preceded in death by her four month old daughter, Barbara, a son, Ray Combs of Dundas, and a great granddaughter, Autumn VanBlaricum of Winnfield, LA, her parents, brother, Pete Bare, and sisters, Mildred Scott, Maxine Witte, Mary Boulb, Opal Swinson Aldridge, Betty Swinson, and Judy Novak.

Services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home with burial in Dundas Cemetery.

Betty Jean Swinson, 72, of Parkersburg, died at 3:05 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2003, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.

Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Reverend Mike Baker and Cathy Seaton officiating. Cremation will follow with interment of ashes at a later date.

Mrs. Swinson was born on August 7, 1930, in Richland County, the daughter of Leonard and Mary Bare. She married Kenneth H. Swinson on October 12, 1946, in Lawrenceville. He preceded her in death on February 20, 1994.

She was a homemaker and a member of Parkersburg United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Swinson is survived by two sons, Roger Swinson, of Parkersburg, and Jeff Swinson, and his wife, Peggy, of Olney; two daughters, Wanda Jarvis, of Olney, and Sandy Carty, of Grayville; a brother, Don Bare, of Olney; four sisters, Pat Ginder, of Olney, Fay Harmon, of Olney, Vivian Combs, of Dundas, and Maxine Witte, of Olney; and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters and one brother.

Betty married Kenneth H. SWINSON on 12 Oct 1946 in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Kenneth was born on 21 Oct 1925 in Richland County, Illinois; died on 20 Feb 1994 in Parkersburg, Richland Co., Illinois; was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Parkersburg, Richland Co., Illinois. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
