Baltimore, June 8 - A private dispatch received here announces the death in Paris of Arthur Padelford. No particulars are given. Mr. Padelford was a native of Savannah, Ga., but was better known in many other cities than that of his birth. About- eight years ago he married Miss Bettina Ordway, daughter of General Ordway, of Washington, a beautiful and dashing young woman. The honeymoon was spent abroad, and while In Paris a daughter was born to the couple. The christening was an elaborate affair, and a duke of the old regime stood as godfather for the child. A few years later he secured a divorce and she went on the stage under the name of Bettina Gerard. Since then she has been married three times. While in Europe Mr. Padelford met Miss Edythe Scott Grant and married her about a year and a half ago. The honeymoon was spent In the Riviera, and for the past few months Mr. and Mrs. Padelford had lived In Paris.
