LEONA MAE DAVIS, 72, of Colorado Springs died May 31, 1993, at a local hospital. She was a homemaker and also had worked as a registered nurse in New Jersey.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Shrine of Remembrance chapel, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., with the Rev. Harold Shoemaker officiating. Inurnment will be at the Shrine of Remembrance mausoleum.

Mrs. Davis was born April 19, 1921, in Newton, N.J., to Luther and May (Lockburner) Sargent.

She had lived in Colorado Springs since 1977.

She was married Feb. 27, 1944, in Lafayette, N.J., to Charles T. Davis, who survives.

She also is survived by a daughter, Barbara Davis of Grand Canyon Village, Ariz.; two sisters, Grace Jeffords of Colorado Springs and Gladys Cook of Berkshire Valley, N.J.; and two grandchildren.

Leona married Charles T. DAVIS on 27 Feb 1944 in Lafayette, New Jersey, USA. Charles (son of Charles Austin DAVIS and Laura T. TALMADGE) was born on 16 Dec 1918 in Franklin, Sussex, New Jersey, USA; died on 03 Jun 2001 in Apache Junction, Pinal, Arizona, USA; was buried in Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
