On June 20, 2010, I received an e-mail from Robert Gascoigne that states the following:

I think you have the wrong James Redpath married to Agnes Manderson. The correct James married Agnes on July 23, 1823 in Whitekirk and Tyningham, East Lothia. James was born 1797 to James redpath and Agness Meston in Dunbar, East Lothian.
I had been looking for the Rdpath Family for about six years as I had a Janet redpath who married Thomas Kinnaird. I was checking the Scotsman Archives online and found a Court Cse involving Thomas Kinnaird in a case aginst Jacobina Kinnaird, over the estate of Alexander Redpath, Bookseller of High Street Edinburgh. Alexander died intestate leaving between 4 and 5 thousand pounds, in 1875 this was big money. I was in Edinburgh in March this year and Purchased the judges summation of the case, the problem was it gave all the Kinnairds involved including husbands and plus children of each but only mentioned anAlexander Redpath and a Peter edpath with no address for either. When I came back to the USA, I thought that only gives the verdict of the case. I emailed Register House and asked them to find the case, three weeks later they emailed back that they had found it 18 printed pages and 6 hand written pages, And it would cost me 20 pounds, they could not use credit cards online, so I called them and gave the information and they mailed it to me. It gave three generation's of Redpath's to prove who Alexander Redpath was descended from and who he was related to. The Redpath family Claimed that James an Agnes's son James was the lawful Heir along with Alexander and Peter. Alexander is on the 1881 census occupation Slater and Peter also who is a Butcher.
