He settled at new London, (at the place now known as Montville), Conn. He was an active soldier in the Indian wars of his day; and owned three farms, one at Dry Brook, one lying on both sides of "the Connecticut path', (the road to Hartford through Colchester), and a homestead at Trading Cove, which was a town grant to his father.
Daniel married Mary SHERWOOD on 04 Mar 1698 in Preston, Connecticut. Mary (daughter of Matthew SHERWOOD and Mary FITCH) was born in 1674; died on 16 Sep 1752 in Montville, Conn.. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Name:
He inherited a portion of the homestead at Trading Cove, on which he lived until his death. he was chosen an elder in the church at Montville in 1750. He died 12 May 1755, leaving property to the value of from $40,000 to $50,000, which was bequeathed by will to his children. His wife survived him, and died at the age of 90 years.
Daniel married Sarah SHERWOOD on 16 Nov 1732 in Stratfield, Connecticut. Sarah (daughter of Capt Samuel SHERWOOD and Rebecca BURR) was born on 23 Oct 1709 in Stratfield, Fairfield, Connecticut, USA; died about 1799. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
