    Perished with his brother Richard Cecil, in the burning steamer "Missouri", off the island of Abaco, Bahama Islands.
    He was in the Civil War. A land owner at Holland Patent, NY, 1865. Leased from the Gov. of Bahamas the Royal Victoria Hotel, Nassau, N.P., and was with his brother Richard Cecil, on the way thither when the vessel burned. The brothers bravely assisted the passengers into the boats, in which there was no room for themselves. He had marked ability as a business man, and made many friends.
