- Rachel Stanley married second, John Eells, son of rev. Edward Eells, of upper Middletown, October 12, 1806. His first wife was Elizabeth Lord of Middletown, by whom he had seven children. He was a weaver by trade, and lived in New Britain on the "new Highway" leading from Stanley Quarter to Hartford. He removed about 181 to Lenox, Mass., where he died November 3, 1840, aged eighty-seven, and his wife November 16, 1835, aged seventy-four. [1]
