Name |
Ephraim DEMING [1, 2] |
- Ephraim Deming was a resident of Wethersfield during his life. He is probably that Ephraim who served in the Revolution in Capt. Wright's Company, Col Eames' reg. His daughter Mehitabel was born after his death. She lived to be 47 years old and at her death willed her property to her friends and hr sisters Mancy, and Clarissa, the latter being a half sister by her mothers second marriage to Elizur Deming. Nancy appears to have married the widower of her aunt Rebecca, although the latters grave stone records her death as in 1829, while the Wethersfield Church records show her husband's second marriage was in 1821. Ephraim and his wife were admitted to Wethersfield Church in 1774, and an infant child of his was buried in June 1776, unnamed. [1]
