- He became a mariner with several voyages to India and the East Indies as captain of ships belonging to the East India Company.
He was a grantee of the second Charter of Virginia, 23 May 1607. After return from Java in 1619 he resided at Wapping. The will of Rowland Coytemore, of Wapping, Middlesex, dated 5 June 1626 and proved 24 Nov 1626. His widow emigrated to New England about 1636, accompanied by her son Thomas, and followed by her daughter Elizabeth. [1]
