- Mrs. Edward A. Rodwell, formerly Hattie Stowe of Sun Prairie and Madison, died Wednesday at the home of a niece, Mrs. P. R. Minnahan of Green Bay after a long illness. Older Madison residents will remember her as Mrs. Joshua Gross, who lived here for a seven-year period about 40 years ago. She was well known in musical circles. Funeral services will be held at the Jones-Tuschen Funeral Home, Sun Prairie, at 2 p.m. Saturday, the Rev. Ray Steen, Marshall Methodist minister officiating. Besides Mrs. Minnahan, she is survived by two other nieces, Mrs. Howard Dibble of Fond du Lac and Mrs. Ira Strong of Berlin; a nephew, George; a granddaughter; and two great-grandsons. WSJ 3/18/1938
