Name |
Daniel WALWORTH [1] |
- Daniel was truly a roving pioneer, and in 1810, the year of his mother's death, we find him transacting business in Canada. He soon returned to the States and married at Alabama, NY, where he remained for a few years before moving on to Ohio, then to Virginia (now West Virginia). Next we find him in Lemoine Co., Michigan, from which State he backtracked down to Grand Prairie, Ill., and on South. Just where he and his wife, Anna, died we have not been able to establish. It could have been in Tennessee, where his son, Frank, settled.
Three of his sons, Thomas, Samuel and William, moved on from Tennessee and we find them living at Athens, Ala. in 1846-7-8-9. From Athens they moved to Mississippi, where Thomas died (1857-8), after which his widow and her young family continues on with Samuel and William and their families to Northern Louisiana, where they and their descendants did much to develop that part of the State.
