- David Eddy lived in Shutesbury for three years and then went to Greenfield, where he lived until 1865, when he went to Michigan. He learned two trades, that of a painter and that of a shoemaker. In Michigan he abandoned both, and purchased a farm, which he successfully operated, in Dilton. [1]
