Granger married Annie May Scofield, daughter of Russell Scofield and Mary "Amanda" (Adams) Scofield, on June 21, 1899, in Pound Ridge, NY. They had four children: Joseph Monroe (married Berthe Georges) Edith Amanda Albert Russell (married Hazel Beatrice McLaughlin) Harry (married Ruth Miriam Porter) He worked as a carpenter.
