      Of Joliet, passed away at his residence with his family by his side, Wednesday, July 21, 2004. Age 77 years.
      Survived by his wife, Judy L. Parks (nee Gay); two sons, Charles (Tammy) Parks, Jr. of Lowell, IN and Robert Parks of Wisconsin; a daughter, Judy Ann (Mike) Ganster of Joliet; three brothers, Joseph "Jr." (Florence) and Donald (Karen) both of Joliet and Richard (June) Parks of Ft. Meyers, FL; two sisters, Jean (Bill-deceased) Martin of Lockport and Bonnie (Ronald) Kempke of Lockport; three grandchildren, Kyle Parks, Alexandra and Michael Ganster; his mother-in-law, Anna Gay; three brothers-in-law, Arthur (Karen) Gaspar of Salem, IL, William Gay of Manhattan, IL and Robert (Colleen) Gray of Channahon, IL; a sister-in-law, Harriet (Ed) Wicburg of Oceanside, CA. Also numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
      Preceded in death by his first wife, Helen (nee Gaspar) in 1984; and his second wife, Helen (nee Carpenter) in 1996; his parents, Joseph and Helen (nee Clark) Parks.
      Member of St. Peter Lutheran Church. Charles belonged to the Teamsters Local #149 for 47 years and was Trustee for the Teamsters and Central Trades. Veteran of W.W. II serving in the U.S. Navy. Life member of V.F.W. Stone City Post #2199, American Legion Post #1080, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #300, Eagles Aries #3153 of New Port Richey, FL.
      Lying in state at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Saturday, July 24 from 9:30 a.m. until services at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Lee M. Jany officiating. Interment Willard Grove Cemetery, Channahon. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Peter Lutheran Church or St. Jude Childrens Hospital in Memphis, TN will be appreciated. Visitation will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Rd., Friday from 4-8 p.m.
