      ORIE E. EMERICK

      Orie E. Emerick, 72, of Perryopolis, died Monday, Sept. 16, 2002, in South Greensburg. Born April 7, 1930 in Fayette City, he was a son of the late Albert and Luetta Biles Emerick. In addition to his parents, Mr. Emerick was preceded in death by five brothers, Charles, DuWayne, Theodore, Albert and Sheridan Emerick . He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ruth Eleanor Milan Emerick; one son, Gregory Lee Emerick and wife Beth Ann of Johnstown; one daughter Yvonne, of Perryopolis; two grandchildren; april Ann and Brian Joseph Emerick, both at home, three brothers Robert, of Smithton, John Emerick and wife Darlene of Belle Verson, and gerald Emerick and wife Joyce of Akron, Ohio; and one sister, alberta Palmer of Monessen. The family will receive friends in the CONFER FUNERAL HOME, 515 Front St., Brownsville, on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, Sept. 19 from 10 to 11 a.m. when funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Paul E. Wilson Sr., of Brownsville United Methodist Charge. Entombment will follow in Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill. Military Rites will be accorded by the Hopwood AMVETS 103. [1]
