Unadilla, NJ - VIVIAN EMMA LOCKBURNER, 90, of Unadilla passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2009 in Dover, Pa.
She was born July 24, 1918 in Beemerville, NJ, the daughter of Ralph and Elizabeth Clark DeGroat.
Vivian was married to Frederick O. Lockburner March 13, 1937, in Unionville, NY. She was founder and manager of the Sidney (NY) Senior Meals program; a member of the Unadilla United Methodist Church; the United Methodist Women's Group, the church choir, the Unadilla Senior Citizens, and was a talented quilter.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick O. Lockburner, June 3, 1981.
Vivian is survived by her daughters and sons-in-laws; Vivian M. and Ernest Castelli Sr., of Dover Pa., Barbara Ann and Alexander Shields of Richfield Springs, NY., Joan Elizabeth and Timothy E. Deuel of Richford NY., her sons and daughter-in-laws; Frederick O., Jr. and Eleanor Lockburner of Barrow, Wis., Lewis P. and Richina Lockburner of Sussex, NJ and Mark A. and Marie Lockburner of Unadilla; 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held April 29 at the Westcott Funeral Home, Unadilla, with the Rev. Barbara Lynn Pease, pastor of the Unadilla Methodist Church.
