SLAWSON Hastings Resident John Wallace Slawson Sr., a member of the former New York real estate firm of Slawson and Hobbs, died of a heart ailment yesterday at the John E. Andrus Memorial, Hastings - on - Hudson, which he entered last year. His home was at 185 Old Broadway, Hastings-0n-Hudson. His age was seventy-eight. Mr. Slawson attended New York University. He belonged to the Old Guard Club in White Plains where he had lived several years ago. He was a member also of the Masons. Surviving are his wife, the former Abby Benson: a son, John W. Jr.; a sister, Mrs. F.G. Hobbs, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. SLAWSON -- John Wallace of the john E. Andrus Memorial, on April 13th 1958, beloved husband of Abby Benson Slawson and father of J. Wallace Slawson, jr. of Long Island.
