- Excerpt from "Macomber Genealogy": He seems to have fallen into financial difficulties, and various piecws of land owned by him were seized by the sheriff and sold. He sold his homestead in Taunton, 16, July 1774.. He was a revolutionary soldier for the town of Warwick, Mass., in 1780. He enlisted for three years, and several previous enlistments are recorded. His age was given as 52 years in 1780. He is called Captain in 1791.
