    • He was a maister. In 1656 he bought 30 acres of farm property in Portsmouth and on 8 June 1657 was received as an inhabitant of Portsmouth. In 1687 he left the island and took up his residence in Little Compton. In 1688 he deeded to his son Daniel Jr. the south half of the 13th lot in the grand division of Little Compton, and in 1694 to his son richard the other half of this lot. It was one of the one hundred acre great lots of the first purchase. In 1702 Richard sold this to his father with 100 acres more, but on 6 July 1703 Daniel re-conveyed to the son, and appears no more of record. [1]
