- Excerpt from "The New England Historical and Genealogical Register": He served from 29 March to 10 October 1756 as a private in Capt. Benjamin Ballard's company which took part inthe Crown Point Expedition. He was again in service under Capt. Israel Taylor of Harvard in 1757. The company marched in August 1757 on the Alarm for the relief of Fort William Henry.
