  Notes	Excerpt from "The Descendants of William Beardsley" by Ellwood Count Curtis: Israel was an original proprietor of Woodbury, Connecticut in 1672. He attained the rank of Leutenant in the trainband of Woodbury in October 1690. He was chosen to be a Deputy to the General Court in May 1689 and again in the sessions of June 1689; May and October 1691; May, June and October 1692; May, September and October 1693; October 1695; May and October 1696; May 1699; May 1703; and October 1704. He was also a Commissioner of Woodbury from 1691-1697. He made a will on October 10, 1704 in Fairfield, Fairfield County, Connecticut.
