- He settled in West Greenwich, R.I. in 1731 and bought 282 1/2 acres of land bounded on one side by what was afterward called Carr pond, of John Williams and his wife Rose Williams, Aug 3, 1733. He deeded 100 acres of land to each of his sons Joseph and William. In 1743 he deeded land to his son Charles, and in his will of 1750, gave his property to his fives sons. [1]
