- Excerpt from Royal Families Americans of Royal and Noble Ancestry, Vol. One Gov. Thomas Dudley: He graduated 1653 from Harvard College where he became a Fellow. He visited England in Nov 1657 and was there during an eventful period in English history and returned 17 Jul 1661. Simon and Mercy's only surviving child was Mercy. He m. 2nd Martha ? in Jamaica and had sons John and Simon and daughter Anne, but no further records were found.
