Louis F. Bortoli
Age 90, joined his beloved wife on Sunday, March 17, 2002, at home. Born on March 10, 1912 in Braceville, IL. A resident of Joliet most of his life. A WWII Army Veteran. He worked for many years in the dry cleaning industry and later for Uniroyal from where he retired. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church Family Friends Club, a former member of Holy Family Church Holy Name Society, a volunteer at Shepherd's Table and a member of the Irving A.C.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years, Ida Mae (nee Loetscher) Bortoli; his parents, Valentine and Maria (nee Bett) Bortoli; three brothers, John, Ernest and Harold Bortoli; two sisters, Katheryn Salbago and Ann Giordano.
He is survived by his son, Mark (Melissa) Bortoli of Joliet; his daughters, Luann (Michael) Krall and Deborah (Thomas) Vargo, both of Minooka; eight grandchildren, Brandon and Matthew Bortoli, Aaron (Aimee) and Benjamin Krall, Joshua, Nicholas, Katherine and Bryan Vargo; his sister, Virginia (Thomas) Ivansek of WI; sisters-in-law, Julia Bortoli of Joliet, Jessie Bortoli of Calumet City, Helen Ludtke of New Lenox and Eileen Loetscher; a brother-in-law, John Keto. He was also a beloved uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held from the Westwood Memorial Chapel on Thursday, March 21, 2002 at 9:15 a.m. to Holy Family Church for a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery with military honors. Visitation Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
