Jerold, 93, of Eaton Rapids, MI. passed away January 8, 2015. Jerold was the son of Carl and Edna (Walton) Topliff.

He graduated from Eaton Rapids High School in 1939. Jerold proudly served in the United States Army during WWII. After 60 years he retired from farming, but continued to help his community with multiple skills. Jerold was a lifelong member of Robbins United Methodist Church where he served on over 40 work missions tearing down and building up. He enjoyed hunting birds, fox, deer, and turkey.

Jerold is survived by his wife, Maxine Topliff; children, Maryellen (Bill) Smith of Okemos, Carolin Spragg of Eaton Rapids, Donald Topliff of Williamston; grandchildren, Kristin (Paul Meeker) Salisbury of Albuquerque, NM., Gregory (Joyce) Salisbury of Portage, Kylie (Andrew) Young of Grand Rapids, Kelly (Mark) Wolgamott of DeWitt, Diane Smith of DeWitt; great grandchildren, Andrew Salisbury of Portage, Spencer Wolgamott of DeWitt, Benjamin Meeker of CA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Jean Drew and Rhea Carrier and daughter-in-law Sheryl Topliff.

Funeral services were Sunday January 11, 2015 at Robbins United Methodist Church with Pastors Peggy Katzmark and Carolin Spragg officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Youth Haven, Eaton Rapids Senior Center or Miller Historical Society.
