    Name:
    Anne of Gloucester, Countess of Buckingham, Hereford, and Northampton, elder daughter and eventual sole heiress, was born in April 1383 (aged seventeen and more in 1399-1400), and was eventual sole heiress to her brother, Humphrey, Earl of Buckingham. She was married for the first time to Thomas De Stafford, 3rd Earl of Stafford. He died on 4 July 1392 s.p. during her childhood. She was married to the second time to her first husband's brother Edmund Stafford, 5th Earl of Stafford, and had one son and two daughters. He was slain at the battle of Shrewsbury on 21 July 1403. She was married for the third time, with pardon for marrying without royal licence dated 20 Nov 1405, to William Bourgchier, Knt., M.P. for Essex, younger son of William Bourgchier, Knt., by Alianor, younger daughter and eventual sole heiress of John de Lovaine, of Little Easton, Essex. He was born in 1374. They had four sons and one daughter. He accompanied King Henry V to France in August 1415 and was at the battle of Agincourt on 25 Oct. 1415. On 10 June 1419 he was granted the 'comte' of Eu previously held by Charles d'Artois. Sir William Bourgchier, Comte d'Eu, died aged forty-six at Troyes on 28 May 1420 (evidently while in the retinue of King Henry V). His widow survived eighteen years and in 1421 made partition with King Henry V of the Bohun estates, which made her the richest widow in England. The will of "Anne Countess of Stafford' Bokingh' Herford' and Northampton' and Lady of Breknoc" was dated 16 Oct 1438. They were buried at Llanthony Abbey near Gloucester, of which she was hereditary patron.
