At what time the family settled in Bozrah does not appear. He was a man held in honor, both in civil and in military life. His will, dated at Bozrah, Oct. 11, 1790, as that of Captain Jedidiah Lathrop, names as legatees, his sons, Jedidiah, Ephraim, Uriah, Zephaniah, and Israel; and his daughters, Mary West, Abigail Fish, Phebe Gardiner, Olive Stark, and Jemima Gardiner. His death occurred June 9, 1792.

Jedediah married Abigail HYDE on 27 Sep 1742. Abigail (daughter of Daniel HYDE and Abigail WATTLES) was born on 2 Oct 1723 in Norwich, New London, Connecticut, USA; died on 1 Oct 1751. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

1. Olive LATHROP was born on 13 Jul 1764 in Norwich, New London, Connecticut, USA; died on 07 Jul 1825.

Jedediah married Jemima BIRCHARD on 18 May 1752. Jemima (daughter of John BIRCHARD and Jane HYDE) was born on 13 Feb 1729; died on 1 Sep 1780 in Bozrah, Massachusetts. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

He settled on the eastern declivity of Blue Hill, in the southwest part of the present town of Franklin, Conn. He was considerably in official life, both military and civil, and was an active man in promoting all the interests of society. His will, bearing date March 22, 1758, named as legatees, his wife Sarah; his deceased son Israel's three daughters, Ann, Lois and Ednah; his Sarah; his daughter Mary Birchard; daughter Catharine Hackly; youngest daughter, Prudence; and his son, Jedidiah, Simeon, and Ezekiel.

Israel married Mary FELLOWS on 20 Jun 1710 in Norwich, New London, Connecticut, USA. Mary died before Jun 1747. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
