    He was an active member of St. Louis King of France Catholic Church. A member of Fr. Maynard Hurst K. of C. and Past Navigator of Msgr Gassler 4th degree Assembly.

    He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Betty Rickels; 3 sons, Joseph Marvin Rickels, Jr (wife Beverly); Michael W. (Mickey) Rickels (wife Pam); William F. (Pete) Rickels ( wife Becky); 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and sister, Mathilde (Dee) Manning (husband Jim).

    He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Mathilde Rickels; daughter, Pamela Rickels; and brother, Randy Rickels.

    The family request visiting hours be observed on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 from 5 pm to 8 pm at Greenoaks Funeral Home. Visiting hours will resume on Wednesday, March 29, 2016 at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church from 10 am until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am.

    Interment to follow on the grounds of Greenoaks Memorial Park.
