Both the World War I Draft and the World War II draft lists his birth date as being 7 Aug 1885.

There is an Elijah, born August 1879, listed as living with Lucinda Slawson in the 1880 Census. Not sure if the two are one and the same.

I'm going to leave Elijah with this family until I can find additional information pointed him elsewhere.
