Berry Cecil Livingston, 96, Iberia, died Sept. 17, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.

He was born Nov. 2, 1902, in Miller County, a son of Samuel and Alverette Waite Livingston. He was married July 4, 1926, in Iberia, to Ruth Margaret Slawson, who died March 4, 1998.

He was a graduate of the Iberia Academy and had worked as a janitor for Iberia High School. He owned and operated Livingston's Barber Shop in Iberia for 50 years. He was a member First Baptist Church, Iberia, and was a member of Iberia Masonic Lodge 410 AF and AM. He was a former member of the Eldon Country Club. He had also served on the Iberia School Board and the Iberia Town Board.

Survivors include: one daughter, Lita Lynn Keeth, Iberia; one brother, Curtis F. Livingston, Hilo, Hawaii; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Leon Livingston, and one grandson.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Iberia First Baptist Church. The Rev. Glen Golden will officiate. Burial will be in the Iberia Cemetery.

Ruth M. Livingston, 90, Iberia died Wednesday at St. Marys Health Center. She was born March 8, 1907, in Miller County, a daughter of James and Laura Capehart Slawson. She was married July 4, 1926, in Iberia, to Berry Livingston, who survives at the home.

She was a 1924 graduate of the Iberia Academy. She was a 50-year member of the Iberia Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of Iberia First Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Lita Lynn Keeth, Iberia; two sisters, Edith Blanner, Kirkwood, and Eska Lee Cole Memphis, Tenn.; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son and one grandson.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Iberia First Baptist Church.

The Rev. Quintin Davis will officiate. Burial will be in Iberia Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Rekus funeral Home, Iberia.

Memorials are suggested to Iberia First Baptist Church.
