Arthur T. Peterson, 61, of County Route 64, Town of New Haven, died at his home early this morning after a long illness.
Born in Oswego, he was a son of the late Nicholas and Nellie Burcham Peterson. He was a
boilermaker employed by Foster Wheeler Corp. He was a member of the Leather-stocking Club, the Trail Blazers Snowmobile Club and was an ardent sportsman.
Surviving are his wife, the former Grace Darrow; two sons, James A. of Fulton and Nicholas E. of New Haven; two daughters, Mrs. Karl Rhonda France of Lycoming, Mrs. Earl Sylvia Wallis of Mexico, 12 grandchildren; one brother George Peterson of Oswego; two sisters, Mrs. Alan Sheffield of Oswego and Mrs. Nellie LeBlanc of Fulton.
Funeral services, 11 a.m. Friday at the Harter-Olmstead Funeral Home in Mexico. The Rev. Allen Lum of the New Haven United Methodist Church will preside.
Burial in Vermillion Cemetery.

She was a member of the New Haven United Methodist Church. She was a Republican committeewoman for 25 years. Her husband, Arthur T. Peterson, died in 1978. Survivors: Two daughters, Rhonda France of New Haven and Sylvia Wallis of Pulaski; two sons, James A. of Groton and Nicholas E. of New Haven; two sisters, Leslie Raymond and Mary Duell, both of New Haven; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at the New Haven United Methodist Church. Burial,
Vermillion Cemetery, town of New Haven.
