HARRY S. SECRIST SR.

Harry S. Secrist, Sr., 61, of 119 Adams St., Monongahela, died today at 2:42 a.m. in Monongahela Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Secrist was born in Sunnyside, Feb. 8, 1908, a son of the late Jake and Nancy Dunn Secrist.
He was formerly employed at U.S. Steel Corp., Donora.
He was a member of the First Christian Church of Monongahela.
Survivors include: his widow, Dora Secrist; five sons, Harry S., of Monongahela, Thomas C. of Belle Vernon, Edmund L. of Albuquerque NM, Douglas M. of Greenville SC and Gerald W. at home; sight grandchildren; two brothers Walter of Sunnyside and George of Greensburg; three sisters, Mrs. Leroy Prentice and Mrs. Dwight Moneyer of Monongahela and Mrs. james Drew of Elizabeth.
Friends are being received at the L.M. Funeral Home, Monongahela.

Harry married Ella T. BILES in abt. 1930. Ella (daughter of Theodore E. BILES and Ella ROWE) was born on 12 Jul 1912 in Fairhope, Pennsylvania; died on 28 May 2002 in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

ELLA T. SECRIST

Ella T. "Dora" Secrist, 89 of Monongahela, died Tuesday, May 28, 2002 in Hempfield Manor, Greensburg. She was born July 27, 1912, in Fairhope, a daughter of the late Theodore and Ella Rowe Biles. Mrs. Secrist was a member of First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ in Monongahela. She retired after 25 years of employment in the dietary department at Monongahela Memorial Hospital, New Eagle. Her memberships include the Monongahela AARP and the Senior Citizens Center. Survivors include four sons, Harry S. Secrist Jr. of Monongahela, edmond L. Secrist of Albuquerque, NM, Douglas M. Secrist of Greenville, SC and Gerald W. Secrist of West Newton; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Secrist was preceded in death by her husband Harry S. Secrist, who died in 1969; one son Thomas C. Secrist who died in 1968; tow brothers Orie and Theodore Biles; who sisters Edith Anderson and Luetta Emerick; one grandchild, and one great-grandchild. Friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the LM FRYE FUNERAL HOMES INC., 427 West Main St., Monongahela, where services will be held Saturday, June 1 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery.
