Mary Frances Petersen was born April 4, 1921 to Henry H. & Emma G Knight Peterson in Wichita, Ks., The youngest of five Children.

Mary married, John R. Carroll on April 13, 1941 in Wichita, Sedgwick Co., Kansas, Son of Fred & Della Maus Carroll of Oklahoma. To this union ten children where born, 5 sons & 5 daughters.

She is survived by her: Husband and Children: Victor & Barbara Carroll,of Wichita, Robert & Debbie Carroll of Grover City, California, James & Nancy Carroll of Wichita , Troy & Deborah Carroll of Benton, Ks., Mark & Debra Carroll of Park City, Susan & Steve Brown of Arlington, Texas, Melinda Miskell of North Richland Hills, Texas ,Cynthia & Jerry Oltmanns of Wichita, Mary & Greg Grimmett of Eureka, Angela & Joe Morris of Fall River, Ks.; 24 grandchildren; Mary was expecting her first Great-grandchild in July 1993. Brother H.H. Petersen of Kansas City, Ks.; sister, Jewel Pitts of Kirkland, Wash.

She is preceded in by Her parents, brother, Lawrence Petersen and sister, Florence Stephenson.

Mary married John Raymond CARROLL on 13 Apr 1941 in Wichita, Sedgwick Co., Kansas. John (son of Fred CARROLL and Della MAUS) was born on 13 Apr 1919 in Peckham, Kay County, Oklahoma; died on 11 May 2007 in Wichita, Sedgwick, Kansas, USA; was buried in Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick, Harvey County, Kansas. RESIDENT HERE 50 YEARS DIES

Henry Herman Petersen, 73, of 1848 Jackson, died late Saturday afternoon as the result of a heart attack at his home. He had been a resident here 50 years.

Petersen was a carpenter and contracter before his retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Emma, three daughters; Mrs. Howard J. Stephenson, 1623 North Spruce; Mrs T.C. Pitts, 253 South Battin, and Mrs. John Carroll, of the home; two sons, L. Howard, Kansas City, Mo., and Ralph, 1830 Arkansas; six Grandchildren; a brother, George, of Chicago; and a sister, Lota Mandaus, Bucklin, Kansas.

Funeral services will be held at Cochran Mortuary at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. John Baxter of the Calvary Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.

Henry married Emma Georgia KNIGHT on 15 Apr 1903 in Wichita, Sedgwick Co., Kansas. Emma was born on 10 Mar 1878 in Indianpolis, Marion County, Indiana; died on 02 Jan 1952 in Wichita, Sedgwick, Kansas, USA; was buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, Wichita, Sedgwick Co., Kansas.
