He was one of the founders of the J. and E. North Mfg. Co. in Berlin, makers of tinmen's tools. he lived near his father in Berlin. In 1817, as shown by a list of twenty Berlin men engaged in business, he was assessed $100, being mentioned as a bookbinder. This tax was to raise money after the War of 1812.

Jedediah married Betsey BULKELEY on 10 Mar 1813. Betsey was born in Rocky Hill, Connecticut; died on 29 Mar 1867. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Name:
Levi North lived in Berlin near his father, being recorded as of that town in the Federal Census of 1790. He made seythes by hand and sold them to the neighboring farmers. In 1817 he was assessed $100, as shown by a list of twenty Berlin men engaged in business. this was to raise money after the War of 1812.
At the age of 16 he was a soldier in the Revolution, serving in Capt. Eells Company, 3rd Battalion, Gen. Wadsworth's Brigade, Connecticut State Troops, June - Dec 25, 1776. The musket which he carried is now in the possession of his great-grandson Charles II, North of Cleveland, Ohio.

Levi married Rachel WHITE on 20 Apr 1786. Rachel was born on 24 Oct 1762; died on 31 Jan 1839. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
