Both the Dutch and English jurisdictions claimed East Town as theirs and later that same year (8 Oct 1663) the Connecticut Colony made Robert "Huested" and 6 other residents of the town freemen of Connecticut. Robert and Elizabeth Huestis/Husted lived out their lived in Westchester, where he held several positions of leadership in that town.
