    He was a prominent member of the Apponegansett Friend's Meeting. A minute in the records of that meeting in which bears date 17, 8, 1715, shows the appointen of Deliverance Smith and Benjamin Howland "to get more ? in the gallerys before the yearly meeting." He was a ? and owned what is called the Rounds Hills farm in Dartmouth. He was a prominent citizen, evidence of which ? in his frequent selecting for responsible positions ? and meeting affairs. he held the offices of selectman and Assessor in 1697, was a surveyer of highways in 1698 and constable in 1709. he was appointed treasurer ? meeting fund 19, 9, 1705. His will was ? he mentions children, Abigail, Desire, Lydia, ? and Barnabas, "living."

    His name appears in the list of those who took the oath of fidelity at Duxbury in 1657. He became a convert to the Quaker faith (s did his father) about this time, and meetings were held at his ouse, for which he was fined in december, 1657. He removed to Newport R.I., and then in about 1662 to Dartmouth. He was killed by the Indians at Pocasset during King Philip's war, 21st of 1st month, 1676.

    She applied to the Court for an order in her favor to assist in rearing her large family, and on July 3, 1678, was granted her husband's entrie estate, 'lands, goods and chattels.'
