Mary Carpenter, 85, Flushing,died Saturday. She was born June 12, 1887, in Belmont County, a daughter of the late Samuel and Ella Shaw Henderson. She was a member of the Flushing Presbyterian Church and the Red Cross Chapter of that church. Her husband, Warner Carpenter died in 1947. Surviving are a son, William Carpenter of Cambridge, a daughter Carol Carpenter of St. Clairsville, a brother, Alfred Henderson of St. Clairsville, several nieces and nephews. funeral services were held Tuesday in Flushing with Rev. John Bakora officiating. Burial was in Olive Branch Cemetery, Harrisville.
