Leonard Aldridge brought electrical contracting services to local residents in Lexington, Nebraska, but moved the business to Lake Forest, Ill., in 1952. Aldridge Electric was incorporated in 1957. The Libertyville site has been in operation since the late 1960s and remains the corporate headquarters. Aldridge Electric is one of the largest electrical contractors in the Midwest. Aldridge Electric is privately owned and employs more than 400 workers.
The family lived at 90 E Atteridge Rd, Lake Forest and summered in Minoqua, Wisconsin. They raised five children.
