Helen Seymour

Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Seymour, age 81, resident of Winona, were held Saturday, October 1, 1994 at 10:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Winona with Dr. Harold Richardson officiating. Burial followed in Oakwood Cemetery.

Born in Leflore County on February 3, 1913 to the late Robert P. and Callie Slauson Smith, Mrs. Seymour had lived in Winona most of her life. She was a graduate of Winona High School and Draughn's Business College in Jackson. She was also a member of First Presbyterian Church and Women in the Church (WIC) and a retired inspector for McGregor Clothing Manufacturing Company. Her neighbor, Mrs. Georgia Caffey of Winona, was her guardian.

Mrs. Seymour died of cancer Thursday, September 29, at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of Hugh Seymour.

Serving as pallbearers were George Weaver, Bud Cleveland, Barry Blakely, Bob Ellis, Bennie Watson and Jerry Hoover.

Lee Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
