    He settled in Dorset, Vt., it is said, in 1776. He had three daus., m. and had ch.; one dau. d. aged 16 yrs., and a son d.y. He was a royalist, and committed to Bennington jail, Dec 12, 1777, the Committee of Safety discharged him and others from whatever they may have said relative to the dispute between Great Britain and this country, and he was duly restored to his family and property.
